The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 update completely overhauled the map with new locations and POIs, so might be wondering where the best landing spots are on the current island.

Marvel has taken over the game once again, meaning there are plenty of superpowered weapons and useful Medallions to hunt down. But to set yourself up for the win, you’ll need to choose your drop site carefully.

So, here are all of the best landing spots in Fortnite.

Best Fortnite landing spots for loot & high-kill games

Mount Olympus

Fortnite Mount Olympus
Mount Olympus is one of the best places to go if you are looking for loot.

If you want some of the best loot in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, make sure that you land on Mount Olympus. Although the Greek mythology theme is long gone, it’s still one of the biggest locations on the map and absolutely teeming with Chests.

What makes Mount Olympus especially appealing this season is that attention has been drawn away from it since the introduction of the new Marvel POIs. With no Medallions to offer and most Quests drawing players elsewhere, the sweats are ignoring it.

So, it’s surprisingly quiet for a landing spot so big, meaning you can enjoy all of the rare loot it has to offer without having to fight off multiple squads to secure it.

Castle Doom

Only land here if you’re prepared for a fight.

On the complete other end of the spectrum, if you want to get straight into the action then Castle Doom should be your first port of call. The sprawling home of Doctor Doom is packed full of top-tier loot and you’re almost guaranteed to stumble across either Captain America’s Shield or War Machine’s Arsenal.

There is also the Doombot boss fight to take on, which rewards you with the Syphon Medallion if you’re strong enough to take it on. This is arguably the best of the three tokens available in Season 4, as it replenishes your health and shields every time you damage an enemy.

This has been the hottest landing spot in the update went live as I’ve had to fend off as many as seven teams to escape. But if you can survive the initial scramble and make it out with the Medallion, you’ll have everything you need to go on and win.

The Raft

Marvel fans will recognize The Raft from plenty of well-known comic books.

If the sheer chaos of Castle Doom puts you off, The Raft is an ideal pick for those who want to rack up a few early kills but don’t want to be overwhelmed. So far, this maximum security prison hasn’t been as popular as the other main Marvel locations, despite being brimming with guns and items.

The downside is that it’s much more compact than most POIs, so any teams that land there are thrown together right off the bat. But with plenty of hidden rooms to loot and the Emma Frost boss to fight, The Raft has plenty to offer despite its small size.

Plus, if you land there and hold it, you’ve essentially got a base that’s easy to defend and incredibly difficult to penetrate from the outside without being spotted.

Sandy Steppes

The desert region is a goldmine for loot.

With all the locations being added to the northern half of the map, the quieter side of the island can be used to your advantage in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4. Standy Steppes isn’t as large as other POIs and it doesn’t have any flashy boss fights, but it’s a reliably sold landing spot that’s going under the radar.

Dropping here allows you and your team to loot up properly without being pushed by enemies. Once you’ve picked it clean, you can either move further north to look for a fight or head to another area in the desert in search of better weapons.

Redline Rig

Pandora’s Box can still be seen outside Redline Rig.

Finally, one of the best and most underrated landing spots in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4 is Redline Rig. It may not look like much from the outside, but this is the ideal starting point if you’re a solo player looking for a more low-key beginning to the match.

Just like Sandy Steppes, this location is all but ignored, despite there being more than enough loot for a single player. There are also plenty of unnamed locations scattered around the outskirts, which you can hit once you’ve picked up everything inside the factory.

On top of all that, thanks to its position at the bottom of the island, I found it’s the perfect drop site if you like to stick to the edge of the circle rather than going into the middle where most of the action is.

Now that you know exactly where to land in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 4, here’s where to find every NPC and how you can unlock the Doom skin.
