EA Sports FC 24 will take a major step forward when it comes to inclusivity, by adding Women’s Football players to Ultimate Team. It seems there might be more in store in upcoming titles as a dev provided an update on women coming to Career Mode.

In the latest exciting development for EA Sports FC 24 Ultimate Team, Women’s players will finally be included, marking a significant step forward in representing Women’s Football. However, despite these advancements, one aspect that hasn’t been introduced yet is a dedicated Women’s Career Mode.

In an interview with Dexerto, Alex Constantinescu, the Principle Game Designer of EA Sports FC 24, shed light on the matter. He expressed the team’s receptiveness to the idea of a Women’s Career Mode, but clarified that the current game edition wasn’t the ideal timing for its implementation.

The primary reason for the delay lies in the need to achieve a certain amount of players and competitions within the Women’s Leagues to make the mode viable. Without a sufficiently active transfer market, where players frequently switch clubs, the experience wouldn’t be as immersive.

While Constantinescu didn’t disclose the exact number of teams or players required to kickstart the Women’s Career Mode in EA Sports FC, he did tease that it might not be too distant a possibility.

“It’s something we’re paying close attention to, we have been ever since we started getting the licensing deals for women’s leagues,” he told Dexerto. “But we’ve determined that we need a certain critical mass of players and competitions to make it viable for consideration in Career Mode.”

He hinted that acquiring more licensing deals would be crucial in bringing this long-awaited feature to life. As Women’s Football continues to gain prominence in EA Sports FC, fans can eagerly anticipate the eventual arrival of the Women’s Career Mode, potentially in EA Sports FC 25.

He said: “We’re getting quite close, but we’re not at that point yet with FC 24. It’s something that’s looking to come in the near future, [depending] on how much of a good job our licensing teams are able to do in securing those deals.”
