EA FC 24 players fed up with UT Draft cheaters ruining the mode
EA SportsEA FC 24 has its fair share of issues, and one particular problem plaguing players is that of cheaters in the Ultimate Team Draft mode. The problem has led to outrage among players online and EA are yet to address the issue.
EA FC 24 went live for players across the world on September 29, bringing another edition of the long-running football sim experience. The game packs in many new features, including the addition of women’s players in Ultimate Team. Fan-favorite modes such as Clubs and Career Mode also make a return, along with the Ultimate Team Draft mode.
The mode, which made its debut in FIFA 16, offers a quick way to create and play with some of the best teams in the game. It’s also a great way to try out the game’s highest-rated players while working towards winning rewards. Players pick and draft are entire lineup to use in a brief tournament.
EA SportsAs rewarding as UT Draft can be, it currently faces a critical issue that is yet to be fixed by EA Sports. According to many users, cheaters appear often during online Draft matches against PC players. These matches are ended abruptly with the scoreline still 0-0 which is unfairly counted as a loss.
Losing a single game means players drop out of the competition and lose their progress as UT Draft is an elimination tournament. This also results in players losing their Draft tokens, which are quite difficult to come by.
To put this into context, a Draft token costs 15,000 coins or 300 EA FC 24 points to purchase, meaning that players are losing in-game currency because of cheaters in UT Draft.
The issue was also present in prior titles, but at the moment there is radio silence from the devs on the matter. Players have continuously raised complaints on the game’s official forums and also via social media platforms. A Reddit post by user Arnaton titled “FUT DRAFT is full of CHEATERS and EA DOESN’T CARE” sums up the sentiment within the community.
The post gained plenty of traction with one user saying, “I don’t understand how they’re allowed to sell the draft game mode for 3 dollars per draft and not fix these issues… Literal robbery.”
Another user stated, “EA doesn’t care about anything mate which is why there is so much wrong with the game each year. They only want to make money so suggest you vote with your wallet. This is why I am refusing to buy the latest version.”
The problem has clearly made UT Draft unplayable for some players, but as of now, there is no news on a potential fix.
