Squad Battles is the main offline mode in EA FC 24 Ultimate Team and players have found an insane glitch that lets them swap 11v11 matches for 3v3, making grinding for rewards much more straightforward.

EA FC 24 Ultimate Team players are spoilt for choice when it comes to earning packs. Most players will grind Division Rivals during the week to earn rewards, before the Champions Weekend League opens and they can compete for the top prizes in the game.

However, those who prefer to play offline or want to complete certain objectives can switch to Squad Battles. This pits fans against an AI opponent and lets them choose the difficulty to earn more points per match.

Now, a new EA FC 24 glitch has been discovered that makes Squad Battles a breeze by removing most of the players on the pitch.

On October 10, leaker FUT Sheriff posted on X (formerly Twitter) explaining that fans can reduce Squad Battles matches to 3v3. This is done by starting a game on the Volta Kick-Off mode, which sees teams of three take part in a street match.

Then, by immediately quitting and loading into a Squad Battles game on Ultimate Team, a glitch will cause the usual 11v11 mode to copy the 3v3 format of Volta. Sheriff recommended fans crank the difficulty up to Ultimate and make the most of the reduced player count.

It’s worth keeping in mind that you will still have to play out the match on Ultimate difficulty, so this is by no means a guaranteed win. That being said, the leaker felt the extra space left by the missing positions would make it far easier to secure the win, rack up points, and “go to the TOP 100.”

The EA FC 24 Squad Battles glitch does seem to come with some drawbacks, however. Players in the replies reported that while the trick has worked many times, the match would occasionally disconnect at the end and not award the win, forcing them to replay.

The developers are yet to acknowledge the issue, but it’s likely that it won’t take too long for them to release a patch and restore Squad Battles back to the usual format. But in the meantime, players will no doubt be using this glitch to make their batch of rewards more valuable than normal.
