EA FC 24 Division Rivals is the core competitive mode in Ultimate Team as it is the best option for those who want a steady stream of rewards. This is where players can practice and hone their skills during the week before the Weekend League starts.

Now that the TOTS Live promo is well underway in EA FC 24, players in higher divisions can get their hands on Team of the Season rewards while playing Rivals. However, you are only eligible for getting TOTS items if you are in Division 4 and above.

EA FC 24 Division Rivals format explained

In EA FC 24 Division Rivals players battle it out in online matches to climb up through a series of divisions. Everyone starts in Division 10, and each league is made up of several steps, which players will move along based on the result of each match:

Win: Move forward one position
Draw: Stay in the same position
Lose: Move back one step

Players who achieve the majority of victories can rank up to a higher league, while if you lose matches, don’t worry because there is no relegation in EA FC 24 Division Rivals.

Certain steps on each division’s ladder act as checkpoints, meaning it’s impossible to be pushed back further than that point, even if you hit bad form. Securing three victories back-to-back also unlocks a win streak multiplier, where each win will push you forward two spaces until the next loss or draw.

Rewards are dished out each week and increase in value based on which division you finish in, as well as how many wins you’ve earned. Three wins are enough for Base Rewards, while eight wins unlock Upgraded Rewards.

Finally, at the end of each in-game Ultimate Team season, players will be given Milestone rewards before being pushed back into a lower division. These are based on their final division and how many matches they played:

Milestone 1: Complete 20 matches and win a Rivals Season 1 Bronze Tifo
Milestone 2: Complete 50 matches and win a Rivals Season 1 Silver Tifo
Milestone 3: Complete 90 matches and win a Rivals Season 1 Gold Tifo
