Destiny 2’s Season of Deep has drawn to a close in terms of story, and the curtain has been lifted on humanity’s greatest threat yet, The Witness. Much is still unknown about the entity, but the upcoming Destiny 2 Showcase could clear it up. So, here’s everything we know about the upcoming Destiny 2 Showcase 2023.

Bungie’s MMO shooter, Destiny 2, hasn’t dried up on newer content since its release back in 2017. Grandma Eva is back in the tower with the yearly Solstice event, and we’re just wrapping up all the stuff from Lightfall, which brought new exotics, seasonal activities, a raid, and, of course, many noteworthy story revelations.

The focus for Bungie is now on the next big DLC, The Final Shape. It is the end of the Light vs. Dark saga, and after players were left disappointed after feeling Lightfall failed to provide any payoff to the saga, almost everything now hinges on how The Final Shape draws a fitting conclusion.

Bungie teased a little in the latest PlayStation Showcase, but the full picture should be revealed in the upcoming briefing. Here is everything we know about Destiny 2 Showcase.

When is the Destiny 2 Showcase event?

Destiny 2 Final Shape will see the return of Cayde-6 in some form.

The Destiny 2 Showcase 2023 which will feature the full reveal of The Final Shape is scheduled for August 22, 2023. It will be streamed on Destiny 2’s official YouTube channel and will begin at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST.

What to expect in Destiny 2 Showcase 2023

While Bungie hasn’t elaborated much on the showcase, we will be given a brief look at The Final Shape DLC which is due February next year, and possibly lots of quality-of-life improvements coming along the way. We could also see the alleged new subclass that was leaked earlier.
