Destiny 2 is a live service game that has been around since 2017.

According to activeplayer.io, over 15 million players played Destiny 2 in the last 30 days as of June 7, 2024. The game has an all-time peak of 316,750 concurrent players on Steam which was in April of 2023.

Following the release of The Final Shape, the title came agonizingly close to registering a new Steam peak player count, but it fell short at 314,634.

These figures tell only half the tale as they’re linked to the number of players on PC. When factoring in players from PlayStation and Xbox, the overall player count is considerably higher as the game consistently features among the most-played titles on both platforms.

Needless to say, Destiny 2 has a massive player base and the game is just as popular as ever.
