Destiny 2: Beyond Light Stasis exploit can instant-kill bosses

Beyond Light’s Stasis mode has its share of problems, but now a new bug has been discovered. that allows players to instantly kill raid bosses. Thankfully, Bungie is already looking into it, but will not delay the next World’s First raid.

Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion has brought many new and exciting features that have changed the game. The Stasis subclass is the best example of this as players can now utilize the Darkness in battle. There have been complaints about this leading to PvP balancing issues but it turns out that there is another, more serious, problem with it.

Players have discovered a new exploit within the Stasis subclass that can be used to instantly kill bosses in the game. This has been making rounds all over the game’s online community and is yet to be patched up.

Bosses can be instantly killed due to this exploit.

By repeatedly using the Warlock Stasis super before hitting the boss with the Salvation’s Grip Exotic grenade launcher, the boss will go down instantly. There have also been other cases where it happens with entirely different mechanics, but this is the most prominent.

This was mentioned by Reddit user Arixama and then later we heard the same from streamer Gladd, during a battle with Kalli.

At first viewers assumed that this was just a one-off moment. A small bug that wouldn’t happen more than once. However, Gladd then followed this by posting more videos of the same event happening with Morgeth and Riven.

As mentioned, this exploit can be replicated through a number of means so it’s easy for players to take advantage of it. It has also been connected to the Stasis’ freeze-and-shatter mechanic as well as to the Warlock’s Shadebinder subclass.

Bungie will not delay the next Raid

This exploit is extremely convenient for players, but is a sign of major issues with the PvE raids in Beyond Light. It is very likely that this will soon be patched and you’ll have to resort to taking on these bosses through usual means.

So far it seems that Bungie has no plans to delay the upcoming Deep Stone Crypt raid on November 21. We have heard from Destiny 2 community manager Dylan Gafner that the problem is currently being investigated and we will know what will become of it later in the week.

Hopefully, the bug will not impede the quality of the World’s First raid. This competition will reward the players who successfully complete the raid with a unique belt that will be delivered to their home addresses. In addition to this, Bungie has stated that these wins will also be verified by an internal team of data analysts.

Whether or not the Stasis subclasses will be disabled altogether because of the overwhelming amounts of complaints regarding the PvP and this remains to be seen. All we can do at the moment is wait and if you’re playing Destiny 2’s Beyond Light expansion then you can take advantage of this bug before it’s gone. Have fun with the Stasis subclass and show those enemies who’s the real boss.
