Idris Elba' Solomon Reed in Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty

Idris Elba’s Solomon Reed grabs the limelight as part of Cyberpunk 2077 Phantom Liberty. But according to a recent discovery, the super spy can be spotted at a seemingly random location in Night City prior to the events of the DLC.

Cyberpunk 2077 has been revitalized with the release of Update 2.0 and Phantom Liberty. The dystopian RPG now features a variety of new systems alongside a thrilling new questline. The game’s Pacifica region has also received an immense makeover with the addition of Dogtown. Even the celebrities in the game have been increased with the casting of Idris Elba as Solomon Reed.

The veteran actor fills in the shoes of a seasoned FIA agent. His character features all the complexities you can expect from a spy which makes trusting him a tall order. He even has a cover identity that lets him hide in plain sight while operating in Dogtown.

When he isn’t constructing plans for espionage, Reed spends his time as a bouncer in a club. Players learn this fact as they spend time with the character. However, there is another way of finding this out, as discovered by Reddit Siddharth_9697.

The Reddit user randomly ran into Reed while completing a Gig. As expected, the character was making sure that things were in order at a club in Night City. The user also mentioned that they hadn’t started Phantom Liberty yet, which means that you can find Solomon Reed before the expansion’s events and without entering Dogtown.

For those interested in checking it out, Reed can be found at a local dive named ‘Malted Iguana Liquors’ located near the Downtown Central fast travel point. There’s little in terms of interaction with him, and he only shows up in the evening.

It’s unclear whether he was added as part of Update 2.0 or Phantom Liberty, as the latter would make owning the expansion necessary to spot him in Night City. Nevertheless, the discovery remains a neat nod to the character’s lore.
