Counter-Strike 2 players are calling for flaming knives after a strange bug caused a player’s knife to catch on fire.

Counter-Strike 2 may be known for its tactical gameplay and esports scene, but it’s also extremely popular for its Weapon Cases, which are essentially Counter-Strike‘s version of loot boxes.

Arguably the most sought-after and popular items you can get in these Weapon Cases are the knives. You can get many different models and variations of these knives, with some being rarer than others.

To speed up, players will pull out their knives and bunny hop, giving these items a practical use on top of their cosmetic appeal.

While there are some crazy skins for these knives out there, some of which are selling for ridiculous amounts of real money, Reddit user lampenpam experienced a bug that set their knife on fire, giving it a pretty crazy animation.

It seems the CS2 bug has something to do with the Molotov, as the OP chucks one out before noticing that their knife is burning. They quickly retreat to safety to check out what’s going on with their knife, realizing that it is, indeed, on fire.

While not intentional, many in the comments are now calling for Valve to introduce something similar to Counter-Strike 2, as one user said: “That’s so f**kin cool keep it valve.”

The reaction on Reddit shows just how many would love an animated knife skin in CS2, with some even stating what they would offer to have this flaming knife: “I’m interested to buy it for 10 keys and 20 ref,” said one user, while another said: “12 refined 22 scrap and 3 keys is best i can offer.”

Counter-Strike 2 is fairly new, so perhaps Valve will look to bring some animated skins for weapons in the future.
