Warzone Season 5 is poised to introduce a ton of new content, including the return of Verdansk’s Superstore, WWE-themed events and Operators, new modes, and more.

Here’s everything we know about the seasonal update for the battle royale, including the release date and content.

Warzone Season 5 release date

Warzone Season 5 will arrive on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at 9 AM PT / 12 PM ET / 5 PM BST across all platforms. This was confirmed in the official S5 blog.

Keep in mind that this is subject to change, as the devs may delay the launch of the Season 5 patch. However, we’ll update this section if there are any modifications to the update’s release date.

Superstore POI returns to Warzone

Inspired by Verdansk’s original Superstore, Season 5 brings the Atlas Superstore POI. The updated location features the same layout as the original while including some QoL changes like zip lines around and inside the area for better accessibility.

New modes, events & features in Warzone Season 5

Superstore Resurgence mode (Launch)

Superstore Resurgence is a dedicated mode within Urzikstan’s Superstore POI where 28 players can drop to enjoy the chaotic supermarket-themed experience in a ten-minute match.

Redeploy Drone Beacon feature (Launch)

The Redeploy Drone Beacon is a portable piece of equipment that allows the whole squad to “evade incoming dangers, seek out new looting areas, or reposition.”

Bounty Contest public event (Launch)

In the Bounty Contest event, every squad is assigned a Bounty Contract to complete within a set time. Eliminate the target to earn rewards until the entire team is wiped out. This will only be available in Resurgence modes.

Recon Flyover public event (Mid-season)

Once activated, the Recon Flyover event will have two waves of Advanced UAVs that will “highlight scanned players with the recon zone shown in your mini-map and fly towards them.” Being caught will expose you to other players within the match.

Supreme Resurgence mode (Mid-season)

Supreme Resurgence is a Rebirth Island-only mode featuring “exceptional ground loot” like “meta-inspired Weapon Blueprints,” and extra health. Additionally, winning the first match will unlock the exclusive “Spilled Beans” Weapon Camo.

Elite Contracts feature (Mid-season)

Elite Contracts brings a new in-game mission where players are tasked to grab an Elite cache in a specific amount of time. This will reward XP, cash, and one of the following: Foresight Killstreak, Multiple Redacted Weapons, Specialist Perk Package, or Advanced UAV.

New weapons in Season 5

  • Static-HV SMG (Battle Pass)
  • STG Assault Rifle (Battle Pass)
  • Spear Melee (Mid-Season, Battle Pass Sector Unlock)
  • Torque 35 Launcher (Mid-Season, Weekly Challenge)

Season 5 will introduce four new weapons to the roster. This includes the Static-HV SMG, described as a “bite-sized LMG” boasting a “high fire rate and significant ammo capacity.”

The iconic STG Assault Rifle is making a comeback with the update, featuring its “signature recoil pattern and high-quality iron sights.”

Finally, the new Melee and Launcher weapons will complete the additions. The Spear is a throwable close-quarters tool, while the Torque 35 Launcher is a compound bow featuring 20 retrievable arrows and a red dot sight for “accurate shots on target.”

Warzone x WWE crossover

Season 5 will bring a crossover with the WWE, including two store bundles featuring popular characters from the franchise Cody Rhodes, and Rey Mysterio, along with Rhea Ripley (Mami) within the Battle Pass.
