The weapon’s versatility is perfect for players who like to get up close and personal with their enemies or for those who prefer to hit their target from a distance. Here’s how to unlock the Spear in MW3 and Warzone.

How to get the Spear in Warzone & MW3

You must complete challenges from the Classified Sector of the MW3 and Warzone Season 5 Battle Pass to unlock the Spear Melee weapon. The mid-season update went live on August 21, so here’s a look at the challenges:

There are a total of five challenges you’ll have to complete to secure the Spear.

How to use Spear

MW3 and Warzone players will have three Spears available upon each spawn. You can perform a melee attack that’s described as “rapid piercing strikes,” or you can opt to throw them at enemies similar to a Throwing Knife. When throwing a Spear, a reticle will be provided to “account for various distances.”

If the player has at least one Spear in their inventory, they can retrieve thrown ones from the environment. Additionally, they can use both the Spear and the new Torque 35 Launcher to pin enemies against walls thanks to their sharp tips.

The mid-season update offered more than just new weaponry, as it also brought weapon buffs and nerfs and the new Personal Records feature in Warzone.
