Call of Duty players were looking forward to unlocking Jabber’s “Safeguard” skin that was shown off in the Season 2 blog and while it can be unlocked early, you might be disappointed with the method.

There are always new skins coming to Call of Duty, and MW3 and Warzone players usually get an idea of what to expect through the pre-season blog posts. Season 2 Reloaded is set to arrive on March 6 but one skin that players were keen to get a hold of hasn’t arrived yet – at least for the majority.

Jabber’s “Safeguard” skin appeared in the Season 2 blog and while it’s not been released yet, it seems you can actually unlock it early but with a major catch that might put you off.

MW3 player shows how to get Jabber Safeguard skin in Warzone

To unlock the Jabber Safeguard skin in Warzone, you’ll need to create a fresh account in Warzone and then complete the Welcome Missions. These are as easy as logging in, completing matches, getting a kill, and opening a supply box.

Complete ‘Stage 2’ and you’ll have unlocked the Safeguard skin. Of course, the major catch is that you won’t be able to get the skin with your existing account, you’ll have to grab a brand-new one.

Warzone Mobile releases in March and it looks like for everyone else, the skin might be part of an in-game event to celebrate its arrival. The Operation Day Zero event has been leaked for MW3, Warzone, and Warzone Mobile, letting you earn rewards that are shared across all these games.

It looks like the skin might be part of the rewards for this event, or perhaps the Welcome Missions will just go live with Warzone Mobile. Either way, it seems the only way to get the Safeguard skin is to create a fresh Warzone account but keep an eye out for Warzone Mobile’s launch.
