A mysterious new Perk Vest appeared in the MW3 Season 2 Reloaded patch notes under Ranked Play restrictions. It seems the mention of the new Vest might have been premature as there’s no telling when it could arrive or what it does.

The Modern Warfare 3 Season 2 Reloaded update brings plenty of new content for players to enjoy, including new weapons, the return of the classic Das Haus map, and an exciting Warhammer crossover.

While new weapons have arrived, no new Equipment or Perks were expected to shake up the MW3 meta in Season 2 Reloaded. However, the Season 2 Reloaded patch notes raised some eyebrows as a new Vest Perk was mentioned under the Ranked Play restrictions section.

The Rhino Modular Rig Vest appeared in the patch notes with no prior mention in the Season 2 Reloaded blog and players are desperate to find out what it does in MW3. Given the lack of information surrounding what’s expected to be a new Vest, it seems the devs may have leaked its existence earlier than intended.

Ninja Vest in MW3
The Ninja Vest Perk arrived in MW3 at the start of Season 2.

MW3 launched with six Perk Vests to choose from, with Season 1’s Assassin’s Vest and Season 2’s Ninja Vest bringing the total to eight. It seems that number could soon grow to nine if the Rhino Modular Rig Vest makes its way to MW3.

With the Ninja Vest only recently arriving at the start of Season 2, it’s possible that the Rhino Modular Rig Vest could arrive in Season 3, and not Season 2 Reloaded. So far, the start of each new season has delivered a new Perk Vest and Season 3 could be next in line.

As it stands there’s no telling what the Rhino Modular Rig Vest will be capable of in MW3, but we do know that it was added to MW3 Ranked Play’s restricted list.

The devs have yet to comment on the surprise reveal, but we’ll be sure to let you know about any new information involving the Rhino Modular Rig Vest in Modern Warfare 3.
