Krampus returns to Warzone but he can’t hurt you this time

Krampus in Warzone

Warzone players are busy enjoying the CODMAS holiday event but it seems that Krampus has made a comeback. Much to the community’s relief, however, it’s just an Easter egg this time around.

The CODMAS event is in full swing in both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone, bringing a ton of festive spirit to both titles. Battle royale fans have the Santa’s Slayground challenges to work through, as well as the new Slay Ride Resurgence to try out.

Although there have been a few complaints about the rewards up for grabs, CODMAS has been mostly well-received by players compared to past holiday events. But a nod to previous Warzone Christmas events has been found on Urzikstan in the form of a Krampus Easter egg.

Krampus is a mythical creature who, according to folklore, appears at Christmas time to punish bad children. However, the CoD devs brought him to life during the Festive Fervor event in Vanguard and Warzone Pacific.

The beast would appear in matches and hunt players down, and most of the community criticized the way he disrupted matches and led to cheap losses. This backlash was even joked about by the devs when CODMAS 2023 was announced, as the blog said: “Krampus is back! Just kidding.”

But it seems they weren’t totally lying, as a Krampus Easter has been discovered on Warzone’s new Urzikstan map.

Where to find Krampus Easter egg on Warzone Urzikstan

The Warzone Krampus Easter egg can be found in Old Town, on the shore opposite Urzikstan Cargo. He has been buried under a pile of rubble, with only his arm sticking out from the ground.

Interacting with the arm will cause the infamous “Krampus is hunting you” message to appear onscreen, which struck fear into players back in the Caldera days. Doing so will earn you the free “He Hunts You” Calling Card, which can then be equipped in your next match.

The Easter egg also features a voice line, as the creature tells fans: “He’ll return.” Of course, Warzone players will be desperately hoping this isn’t the case.
