The FJX Horus is a brand-new SMG in Modern Warfare 3 Season 3, so here’s the best loadout to get the most out of it, including the meta attachments, Perks, Equipment, and more.

Modern Warfare 3 Season 3 brings a host of fresh weapons to the roster, including the FJX Horus, a brand-new SMG looking to take over the close-range meta. But before you take it for a spin in multiplayer, you’ll need to know the ideal setup.

So, here’s the best FJX Horus loadout in Modern Warfare 3, complete with attachments, Perks, and Equipment to create the perfect class.

Best MW3 FJX Horus loadout attachments

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor S
  • Barrel: SYN9 Long Barrel
  • Stock: Lopper LX-D Stock
  • Underbarrel: DR-6 Handstop
  • Magazine: 48 Round Mag

The FJX Horus feels more like a machine Pistol in MW3, so our best loadout is all about buffing the range and stability to make it more competitive. To start with, we’ve gone for the Monolithic Suppressor S, to make your shots invisible on the radar and to improve the SMG’s stability.

We paired this with the SYN9 Long Barrel, which buffs the damage range and bullet velocity to make it more viable at mid-range. Then, the Lopper LX-D Stock and DR-6 Handstop keep the Horus nice and accurate, ensuring you’re always landing your shots in heated gunfights.

Finally, the new SMG burns through ammo at a rapid pace, so the 48 Round Mag will allow you to deal with multiple enemies before having to stop and reload.

Best MW3 FJX Horus loadout Perks & Equipment

  • Vest: Infantry Vest
  • Gloves: Commando Gloves
  • Gear: Ghost T/V Camo
  • Boots: Covert Sneakers
  • Lethal: Frag Grenade
  • Tactical: Flash Grenade
  • Field Upgrade: Trophy System

The best FJX Horus loadout in MW3 is nothing without the right Perks, so we recommend starting with the Infantry Vest for a Tactical Sprint buff that improves your mobility. This pairs nicely with Commando Gloves, allowing you to reload while sprinting.

Ghost T/V Camo is a must-use, as it keeps you hidden from enemy UAVs to help you sneak up on the other team. In the same vein, Convert Sneakers mask the sound of your footsteps to make it even easier to get the drop on them.

In the Equipment slots, Frag Grenades are a simple but effective choice that are ideal for scoring a quick kill or clearing a room, while Flash Grenades blind enemies before you move in and take them out. Then, to stop you from suffering the same fate, a Trophy System will block incoming explosives while you lock down a key position.

How to unlock FJX Horus in MW3

You can unlock the FJX Horus in MW3 by completing Sector 8 of the Season 3 Battle Pass. Luckily, the SMG is one of the free rewards, so there’s no need to purchase the Battle Pass if you don’t want to.

Once you’ve completed a neighboring Sector, you’ll need a total of five Tokens to claim the four smaller rewards before earning the new gun at the end.

Best FJX Horus alternatives in MW3

If you’re looking for a different SMG to run in MW3, the Rival-9 is arguably the best option in the entire game and has completely dominated Ranked Play since launch. You could also use the WSP Swarm, which has a blistering fire rate and can delete full teams with an extended magazine equipped.
