Warzone stats prove forgotten Modern Warfare gun is better than overpowered NZ-41

The NZ-41 has been the go-to weapon for many Warzone players in recent weeks and has largely dominated Season 4. However, CoD expert IceManIsaac has discovered a popular Modern Warfare Assault Rifle that is statistically better than the NZ-41.

After the June 2 update back in Season 3, Vanguard’s NZ-41 received a handful of major buffs which quickly saw it overtake the nerfed STG-44 as Warzone’s number one weapon. Increased bullet velocity and reduced recoil made it an easy-to-use AR with very few downsides.

After admitting that the NZ-41 had become too simple to use, devs did nerf the gun in the June 30 patch, but this did little to knock it from its perch and it’s still the most popular gun in the game.

Warzone expert IceManIsaac believes he has found an Assault Rifle that has the sats to challenge the NZ, and it’s the Modern Warfare M13.

M13 in Warzone

After major nerfs to many beloved Assault Rifles over the last few updates, the M13 has managed to remain largely untouched, meaning it now has the numbers to challenge at the top of the meta. In his July 3 video, IceManIsaac broke down all of the stats.

He found that the M13 currently beats the NZ-41 in terms of fire rate by over 300rpm, bullet velocity by over 100m/s, and has a slightly faster ADS speed. However, it was when comparing the time to kills that we really see what makes the Modern Warfare AR a beast in Season 4.

The two are pretty much identical when it comes to chest shots, with the M13 fairing slightly better at 30 to 50 meters by downing enemies in 804ms compared to the NZ’s 912ms. Then, in every other body part, the MW gun has a better TTK at close to mid-range before the NZ ties it up at long-range.

He went on to show off the best Warzone M13 loadout for Warzone Season 4. We’ve listed it below:

IceManIsaac’s Warzone M13 loadout

  • Muzzle: Monolithic Suppressor
  • Barrel: Tempus Marksman
  • Optic: VLK 3.0x Optic
  • Underbarrel: Commando Foregrip
  • Ammunition: 60 Round Mags

By running this build, Isaac felt the M13 is ready to compete for the number one spot in Warzone. “It’s got a faster time to kill, it’s got a faster aim down sight, a faster reload speed, and a crazy easy recoil pattern,” he explained in his video.

He did concede that the high magnification scopes that the NZ-41 offers do give it a slight advantage, especially in long-range fights where accuracy is key. But, with such impressive stats, don’t be surprised to see the M13 become a top-tier weapon as we head towards Warzone Season 4 Reloaded.
