Despite Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded promising players the new Fort Resurgence mode with a new map, they were left disappointed when the update arrived without it.

Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded promised a bunch of new content for players at launch, and despite most of this content coming through, such as the introduction of new weapons and balance changes, unfortunately, one of the most exciting new pieces of content has been delayed.

The devs claimed that Warzone 2 Season 5 Reloaded would bring a new Resurgence map to the game along with a new mode called Fort Resurgence.

This new Resurgence map would drop with its own separate playlist at launch so that players could enjoy the new map, but when the update arrived, this Fort Resurgence mode was nowhere to be seen.

This was quickly followed by an announcement from Call of Duty, who confirmed that “the new Al Bagra Fortress Resurgence Mode will be live next week,” delaying the new map’s release.

Player reactions to this announcement weren’t so positive, with popular Call of Duty content creator FaZe Swagg saying the delay is “such an L.”

They weren’t the only ones who felt like this either, as many comments under Call of Duty‘s announcement of the delay also expressed frustration and disappointment, with one comment that said “what an L. Thanks for an update that has nothing new.”

Another comment pointed out the short notice of the delay, disappointed that players were informed of the news so late, as they replied: “no way this is shared the day of, after the update went live.”

Clearly, players are disappointed with the news, having to wait a full week until they can experience one of the main pieces of content for the Season 5 Reloaded update. One user even joked that by the time Fort Resurgence is released, players will “be on Starfield by then.”

If anything changes regarding Fort Resurgence in Warzone, we’ll be sure to update you. For now, make sure you also check out the possible Season 6 Operators coming to Warzone according to leaks.
