Some new Call of Duty leaks have revealed that Warzone may be getting some Overwatch crossover content in the form of a weapon blueprint referencing the tank hero Wrecking Ball.

Warzone fans have received their fair share of crossover content, as characters like Rambo, Frank from Donnie Darko, and Ghostface have all made appearances in the Call of Duty battle royale title.

Now, it seems that we might be getting another major crossover soon, as some new leaks have revealed a weapon blueprint that references one of the heroes from Blizzard’s Overwatch.

Wrecking Ball in Overwatch

Reddit user ‘House_of_Vines’ posted a new weapon blueprint named ‘Wrecking Ball’ in the Overwatch subreddit. As the name implies, it contains quite a few references to the little hamster hero.

The blueprint is for a Warzone MG42, and the word ‘HAM’ is written on both the mech and the gun. Players also found the number 8 on the drum, which references Wrecking Ball’s original name, Specimen 8.

There are also other references in the form of colors and symbols fans, which led to fans drawing a connection between Warzone and Overwatch, and were easily able to put together that the two are connected.

Many of the users in the comments were pleasantly surprised by this, with one commentator saying it was “The crossover I never knew I needed.”

Of course, it’s worth keeping in mind that this is just a leak, and the developers have yet to confirm anything. Until they announce something official, we only have player speculation to go off.

That said, a Warzone and Overwatch crossover would be completely unexpected, although it makes sense as both CoD and Overwatch are owned by Activision, although published by different arms of the company. We’ll keep checking for any developments regarding this.
