Warzone leak claims Redeploy Balloons, gas weapons & more arrive in Season 2 event
It looks like Raven Software have cooked up a new event for Warzone Pacific Season 2, as a new leak claims that an event will bring a ton of new features such as Armored Convoys to ambush, Redeoploy Ballons, and gas weapons.
After getting delayed while the developers work on more bug fixes, we’re fast approaching February 14’s Warzone Pacific Season 2 update. The devs have already teased that Caldera will undergo map changes, but a new leak claims a Season 2 event will bring some game-changing new mechanics.
These leaks were first posted by ‘Reality’ and later corroborated by popular CoD leaker TheGhostOfHope. While these leaks should be taken with a grain of salt, Reality claims to have the official description for Season 2’s event, revealing all of the upcoming features.
Warzone Season 2 Armored Convoys & Decontamination device
According to Reality, Season 2’s event will have Armored Convoys distributing toxic gas around Caldera, and there will be a new device to combat it.
They said that “Distribution of the toxic Nebula-5 has begun to rollout from Armored Convoys across the map,” and players can “ambush them to gain valuable equipment and weapons.”
But it sounds like these Armored Convoys can hurt you when they’re spitting out the toxic gas, as the leak indicates that you should use a new “Personal Decontamination Station (P.D.S.)” device that will “briefly filter out toxic gas as needed.”
It appears this P.D.S. device will help squads survive in the gas without Gas Masks for a short duration.
Warzone Season 2 Bomber planes & Redeploy Balloons
While Warzone players have been used to taking to the skies in helicopters, fighter planes arrived with the Season 1 update. Now, it appears that a new style of plane will arrive as part of Season 2’s event.
The leak claims that “a new fleet of Bombers have been delivered to Caldera.” It sounds like players can hop into these new planes to drop devastating bombs on players below.
The leak also claims that players shouldn’t “collide with the new Redeploy Balloons as these obstacles can severely damage your aircraft.” How these Redeploy Ballons work remains to be seen, but TheGhostOfHope teased they might resemble a device from PUBG.
PUBG allows players to attach themselves to a balloon that gets picked up by a plane passing overhead. When it does, the players get hurtled in the air and they can float back down where they choose. It’s possible something similar will hit Warzone in Season 2, but we’ll need to wait and see what the devs have in store.
Gas weapons leaked for Warzone Season 2
The Warzone Season 2 event leak also claims that “a new Factory has begun production of the lethal Nebula-5 gas for use in various weapons.” It sounds like players may be able to use gas bullets similar to Incendiary Rounds, but we’ll need to wait for official confirmation.
Also, the claims these gas-infused weapons are being developed in “underground Bunkers scattered around Caldera.” There are several hatches dotted around the map, so these could open up in Season 2.
We expect Sledgehammer Games and Raven Software to start revealing what Warzone and Vanguard Season 2 will entail soon. In the meantime, you can check out everything we know about the reported ‘Warzone 2.’
