It seems the Call of Duty devs have got a lot on their plate at the moment, causing them to delay the release of Warzone Pacific & Vanguard Season 2.

Warzone & Vanguard have had a lot of updates over the past couple of weeks, including the mid-season patch which looked to solve a lot of the game’s performance issues.

Despite improvements and better communication from the devs when it comes to sharing what they’re working on, Season 2 has been officially delayed to give them more time to work on fixes.

Call of Duty announced over on Twitter that Season 2 of Warzone and Vanguard has officially been delayed from the February 1 released date to February 14.

With all the crazy news coming out recently regarding Microsoft’s plans to purchase Activision, which includes Call of Duty, this probably won’t come as much of a shock to the community, especially given all the current performance issues.

While the devs recognize that they have “deployed a number of updates” recently to fix the issues, including a fix for the freezing Buy Station bug, they also recognize “that more needs to be done.”

The main reason for Season 2 of Warzone and Vanguard being delayed is in order for the devs to continue improving the gameplay experience. Many players will likely be happy that the season is being delayed, as another big update to the game might just cause even more issues and further frustration.
