Warzone 2 players warn “broken” Most Wanted contract leaves you permanently marked

Contracts are an ideal way to earn money in Warzone 2, but players have warned that the Most Wanted challenges are bugged and urged others not to pick them up.

Warzone 2 players spend hours building the best loadouts to help them to victory in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island, but they need cash to call in a loadout drop of their own. That’s where contracts like Search and Seizures or Bounties come into play, offering cash rewards for ticking off objectives.

Most Wanted contracts are high-risk but very high-reward challenges in Warzone 2, rewarding squads with $6,000 for surviving for four minutes while their location is marked on the map for all to see.

However, Warzone 2 players have advised against accepting Most Wanted contracts for the time being, claiming they’re actually glitched.

Reddit user ‘smooth_casual’ shared a post explaining that Most Wanted contracts are “broken” in Ranked Play and can’t be completed properly.

“My squad and I have experienced a problem multiple times where we grab a Most Wanted of rip, ‘complete it,’ but we don’t get the drop crate and are being swarmed with enemies the entire match,” they explained.

They went on to theorize that the crown icon that marks Most Wanted targets on the map is lingering around after the Contract is complete, which is ruining the rest of the match for them.

“I’m almost positive we’re still on the map as most wanted. When we die it says ‘Most Wanted contract failed’ even though we completed it 10 minutes ago. Absolutely broken. Don’t pick up Most Wanted contacts.”

Other players responded claiming that they had encountered a similar issue in Warzone 2, with one player saying: “It’s broken in every mode.”

Meanwhile, some mentioned that there is a workaround for the glitch but it’s less than ideal, especially towards the end of a match.

“This is also an ongoing issue in Ashika Island resurgence. It’s happened to me many times the last month or so,” said another reply. “Only way to get rid of it is to die.”

The developers are yet to comment on the issue, but it seems that plenty of players are running into the problem when completing Most Wanted contracts. Only time will tell if a fix is issued in a future patch, with Warzone 2 Season 4 being the next major update.
