FaZe star Kris “Swagg” Lamberson used a “pay-to-win” version of the XM4 Assault Rifle in his latest Warzone Season 3 video.

For most players, the words “pay-to-win” are rather ugly and highlight the practice of microtransactions and trying to purchase an advantage.

Warzone is sadly no stranger to the concept as Activision’s battle royale game has experienced multiple issues with pay-to-win elements in the past. Players have previously complained about an overpowered HDR blueprint, a skin that causes invisibility, and the infamous Roze skin.

The latest example is a setup for the XM4 that actually has a much faster fire rate and less ADS time.

Warzone Season 3 has benefitted from a distinct lack of meta, possibly offering one of the most balanced periods of weapon loadouts in the game’s history.

Nerfs to some of the biggest culprits, such as the AUG and FFAR, has allowed a few Assault Rifles to come into the fore – namely the Krig, AMAX, and FARA 83.

But it seems like the XM4 is now trying to use sly tactics to stake its claim thanks to the new “Great Pacific” blueprint that can only be bought.

Originally found by TrueGameData, Swagg says this version of the XM4 “has a faster fire rate and at certain ranges a faster time to kill.” The gun helps Swagg to drop over 30 kills in a quads game of Warzone and it’s clear that this XM4 is very accurate, very fast, and overpowered.

Swagg reassures viewers by saying that “they are probably going to fix this soon, but for right now it’s a pay-to-win variant.”

In the meantime, expect to see one or two extra XM4 loadouts on the floor during your next few days of Warzone until Raven patches it.
