Vanguard players beg devs to bring back Trophy Systems for one important reason
The Trophy System has become a staple in the past few Call of Duty games but it doesn’t seem to be included in CoD: Vanguard, and players are calling for the devs to add it in the upcoming game.
The past few Call of Duty titles came with a useful piece of equipment known as the Trophy System. This is essential in securing objectives as it destroys enemy projectiles, like grenades, to protect players securing an area.
While Vanguard has a ton of exciting content like a Campaign mode, multiplayer offering, and Zombies mode, it’s unclear whether or not the game will feature Trophy Systems. Now, fans are calling the devs to add it for one key reason.
Since CoD: Vanguard is set during World War II, the Trophy System seems to be excluded so that players stick to older equipment. Call of Duty fan TheGhostOfHope tweeted their disappointment regarding this.
“I’m surprised there is no trophy in Vanguard unless I’m f***kng blind after looking at leaked footage,” they tweeted. This led to various other fans also chiming in on the matter, and they shared the same disappointment.
This piece of equipment helps players counter enemies who spam grenades by intercepting them before they can do any damage. Another fan named Daraius explained that removing this system will encourage grenade spamming.
“No trophies and gunsmith, a system in which you don’t have to risk anything in your class, will just make the grenade spam so much more worse. Hopefully they add it in the day 1 patch,” Daraius tweeted.
“I mean if you have an automatic grenade launcher in WW2 and set in the same universe where some guns don’t exist, why not have a Trophy System,” asked one player.
At the time of writing, it’s unclear whether or not the Vanguard developers plan to bring Trophy Systems to the game. We’ll keep checking for any updates regarding this and will let you know if there are any developments.
