Modern Warfare 2 camos mixed and matched

Modern Warfare 2 players are absolutely delighted with this year’s camos and their straightforward requirements, but the blog appears to have teased that mixing and matching camos will be possible. Here’s everything we know.

With Modern Warfare 2 now here, players are beginning their journey to unlock all of the camos the game has to offer. With four Mastery camos – Gold, Platinum, Polyatomic, and Orion – up for grabs, players are delighted to see that the challenges are much simpler compared to Vanguard and other previous years.

Players noticed that the Call of Duty blog appeared to show some camos that were mixed and matched, leading to speculation that this feature will be available in the game. Here’s everything we know about whether you can mix and match camos in Modern Warfare 2.

Can Modern Warfare 2 camos be combined?

The Call of Duty blog appears to show two of Modern Warfare 2’s camos combined, with the M4 featuring both the Gold and Platinum camos, as well as a mixture of Polyatomic and Orion. The blog was then updated later to show what these camos look like in-game and they’re just solid colors, not the combination seen in the blog.

This has led players to believe that you’ll be able to mix and match camos in Modern Warfare 2. The blog also says that “there is a completionist reward” for unlocking Orion on every weapon and completing every Weapon Mastery Challenge, so some also believe that mixing and matching camos will be that final reward.

Of course, we likely won’t know for sure until players have started unlocking Orion on every weapon. Or, the feature could arrive in a later update, similar to Modern Warfare’s Obsidian camo that came post-launch.
