There’s been a ton of speculation surrounding its release, but thanks to an announcement on May 24, we now know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will arrive on October 28, 2022.

Even though the Call of Duty team revealed the release date, you’ll have to temper your excitement slightly as pre-orders have not gone live yet. We’ll keep you posted when players have access to pre-orders, but for now, the next date to look forward to is June 8, as per the trailer.

Soap Operator MW2

Alongside its release date, Activision revealed the new and returning characters for the title, including Price, Ghost, Gaz, Soap, and Alejandro.

Of the five listed above, Alejandro Vargas is the new name that should catch your attention. The Colonel is a Mexican Special Forces Operator and he’ll have a key role in the new title alongside the aforementioned names.

This marks the return of Task Force 141, which was also hinted at during the 2022 NFL draft as prospects wore Task Force 141 pins and memorabilia. We’ll be sure to provide additional updates between now and June 8, so stay tuned to CharlieIntel.
