CoD Mobile Season 2 2023 is almost here to deliver the second major content drop of the year. Here’s everything we know about CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal, including the new Diesel map and weapon.

CoD Mobile players received a ton of fun additions to check out in the Season 1 2023 update, including a variation of the iconic Nuketown map and the Dingo LMG that also appeared in Black Ops 3.

Now, players are looking forward to the next major content drop, and Season 2 2023 is set to be another huge update for CoD Mobile.

Here’s everything we know so far about CoD Mobile Season 2 2023, including the start date and another returning map.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal release date

The devs confirmed in a blog post that CoD Mobile Season 2 2023 will go live on Wednesday, February 22, 2023 at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET / 12 AM GMT. This will be right after the Season 1 Battle Pass comes to an end.

The CoD Mobile Season 2 2023 update is titled ‘Heavy Metal’ and will feature a new multiplayer map along with other fun content.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal Diesel map

CoD Mobile’s Diesel map was previously part of Black Ops Cold War Season 3.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal will add Diesel as a new multiplayer map, continuing the game’s trend of adding maps from past Call of Duty multiplayer titles.

Diesel was added to Black Ops Cold War in its third season, and quickly became a popular arena among the community thanks to its desert setting and fast-paced gameplay. It takes players to a run-down gas station with stores nearby.

You can navigate in and out of these buildings for close-quarters battles. If you prefer to take your enemies on in medium to long-ranged battles in the open then you’ll have plenty of opportunities for that too.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal Maddox Assault Rifle

The Maddox Assault Rifle was previously in Black Ops 4.

CoD Mobile players will be able to get their hands on the Maddox Assault Rifle when the Season 2 Heavy Metal update goes live. This fast-firing AR was previously available in Black Ops 4.

It has a similar fire rate to the Peacekeeper and boasts a large magazine size. The Maddox Assault Rifle features a signature attachment that fires two bullets at once but at the cost of a recoil penalty.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal Goliath Clash! game mode

The Season 2 Heavy Metal update will bring a new game mode called Goliath Clash! This Domination-style playlist will put players in control of powerful mechanical suits at the start of each match.

Every Goliath comes complete with its own set of abilities which can be used to gain the upper hand on the enemy team, and players will use them to battle over three capture points on the map.

Capturing each point will grant you a battery drop to give your Goliath’s upgrades, including a melee weapon with improved damage, a new slide skill, a health boost, a reduction to incoming damage, enhanced firepower, and more.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal Ravager Launcher Battle Royale class

The Ravager Launcher is a new Battle Royale class with the base ability to deploy an upgradable Sentry Turret that automatically attacks enemies within range for a limited amount of time.

After being upgraded, the Sentry Turret can fire high-damage missiles that can lock onto vehicles. You can take advantage of the Ravager Launcher Battle Royale class after CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal arrives.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal 2023 buffs & nerfs

As you’d expect, Season 2 will also bring a host of buffs and nerfs to the game’s many weapons. Although TiMi Studio Group haven’t revealed which guns will be adjusted, a few have already been trialed on private test servers.

As shown by LeakersOnDuty, the likes of the AK-47, Dingo, and EM2 are all likely to receive buffs, while the JAK-12 and CBR4 could see nerfs.

CoD Mobile Season 2 Heavy Metal Battle Pass rewards
