The nature of Call of Duty maps is often overlooked and Raid may actually be the worst offender out of any. The Replay Mode YouTube channel has created a satirical video that explains the map’s peculiarities.

Raid came into our lives in 2012 with Treyarch’s CoD: Black Ops II. The exquisitely designed map takes place on the grounds of a multi-million dollar property, featuring an expensive sports car, a stylish sculpture, a massive pool, and many other lavish features.

Until now, it’s always been regarded as one of Call of Duty’s greatest multiplayer maps, but a new perspective has revealed that it’s actually quite a bizarre creation.

A YouTube channel by the name of Replay Mode has posted many satirical videos that clearly parody many elements of Black Ops Cold War. Some of these videos include compilations of amusing player IDs, showcasing CoD glitches, and most notably tours of the game’s maps.

One of the videos is the “Accurate Tour of Raid” and it points out many key details that people have perhaps been unaware of due to the all-encompassing nature of the map’s combat.

The narration systematically dissects all the blinding obvious faults with this piece of ill-conceived estate, and you quickly wonder why you’ve never realized these details before.

For instance, the Master Bedroom provides a sumptuous view of the pool but doesn’t connect to anything else. The Kitchen is isolated, meaning you have to take your food outside to get to a more relaxing area of the house.

But the icing on the cake has to be Raid’s Panic Room. A type of room that’s designed to be so tightly secured that no one can get in. Yet the room has a gaping window that anyone could access.

The video is made in jest of course and is just a light-hearted interpretation of the map’s more irrational aspects. You should definitely check out the full video.

Just remember, the next time you’re in the middle of a heated game of Raid, someone’s pizza is getting rained on.
