Leaked Battlefield 2042 gameplay footage shows off adrenaline-fueled action
Battlefield 2042 is one of the year’s most-anticipated games, with millions of fans itching to get their hands on the shooter, and leaked gameplay footage has offered up a sneak peek as to what players can expect on release.
Ahead of its October 22 launch date, excitement is beginning to grow among Battlefield fans. DICE is taking a different approach with the release of its massive online shooter this time around, opting not to include a single-player campaign and telling its story through multiplayer updates.
The Battlefield 2042 Exodus short film is available on Youtube to flesh out its bleak world ahead of release, but some players might be pining for something more gameplay-focused. If that sounds like you, this leak that is packed full of explosive Battlefield 2042 gameplay action might scratch the itch.

In a game of Conquest taking place on a sunny, tropical map, the player shows new features such as the grapple hook attachment, which lets them quickly scale up a building onto the roof for a better vantage point.
Later in the Battlefield 2042 gameplay clip, the player used the same feature to scale a hillside and close down the distance between themselves and the enemy. It appeared to be seamless and straightforward to use and shows how its inclusion opens up the battlefield and offers tactical advantages.
Elsewhere in the leaked Battlefield 2042 gameplay footage, we can see gameplay that will feel familiar to veterans of the Battlefield series. One sequence which sees the player crash a tank through trees on the way down a hill will reassure fans that the scale and destruction that was present in previous titles are here in abundance.
The same Reddit thread also shows a screenshot from the game where you can see an overview of the map and class options before redeployment.
Here we can see the recently announced Casper specialist, who appears to lend himself to a sniper loadout. He is wearing a ghillie suit for camouflage and can make use of a recon drone and motion sensor.
All-in-all this fresh look at in-game Battlefield 2042 action only whets the appetite for what is to come. Hopefully, DICE will be revealing more officially as we edge closer to the October release.
