Baldur’s Gate 3 players want “incredible” fan-made Sword Coast map in-game

Baldur’s Gate 3 doesn’t have one large map to showcase the greater Sword Coast, but rather a series of smaller maps to show the current area you play in. One player took it upon themselves to fix this.

The Baldur’s Gate 3 map is not quite the same as what players are used to. Generally, especially in large-scale RPG games, there is a bigger map that shows the entirety of the area you will be exploring throughout the main story

However, Baldur’s Gate 3 has smaller maps that only show you the area you are currently exploring. The Underdark, The Shadow-Cursed Lands, and the Mountain Pass are some examples of maps you will see in-game.

One player took it upon themselves to fix this and show us what the whole of the Sword Coast looks like. After weeks of work, Redditor ‘Jazzlike-Leopard-136’ shared their massive project to many players’ amazement.

The map itself shows all the areas you would explore in-game but shows how you get from the Wilderness in Act 1 all the way to Baldur’s Gate itself. It’s a detailed look at the journey players take throughout the whole game.

As one player commented, “Woah this is incredible!!!! That must’ve taken forever. I’ve always been curious how everything would look completely, many thanks!”

The map made by the OP details many things, barring a few entries that are missing, but fans in the comments were extremely impressed with the work that went into it. Some even requested that the OP add it to the Baldur’s Gate 3 wiki so others could enjoy it as well.

The main thing that interestingly came from the map was players’ surprise at how “small” the overall area the game takes place in is. For a game so big, players felt that the world itself was much bigger than what it looks like in one stylized map.
