While Larian Studios introduced a plethora of classes to Baldur’s Gate 3, fans agree that there’s one so powerful and versatile that works great for every game mode. Here’s what the Baldur’s Gate 3 community has been talking about.

Baldur’s Gate 3 lets players decide which race and background they want for their main character, but most importantly, which class they’d like to role-play as. From Clerics to Warlocks, users can build as they wish what type of character will be stopping the Mind Flayers’ invasion in Faerun.

While most agree that Larian Studios gave every class the potential to be the best, some fans think that there’s a particular type that’s overpowered, and it’s the best choice even for those trying their luck in Honour mode.

In a Reddit post called “Druid is one of the strongest classes in the game,” Redditor ‘CasualSky’ stated that Druids weren’t getting enough credit in Baldur’s Gate 3. The fan pointed out that this class not only gets a bunch of spells that spellcasters won’t, but they also have the most summons and can Wild Shape into incredibly powerful creatures.

Halsin in Baldur's Gate 3
You can ask Halsin to join your party after Act 2 of Baldur’s Gate 3.

“They manipulate the battlefield like a God, and half the time the AI lets your concentration spells o the work,” explained the user. “Your summons tank and Misty Step around, giving enemies disadvantage on ranged attacks or they take attack opportunity. Meanwhile, other DPS get to sit back and enjoy the fruits of a Druid’s labor.”

Baldur’s Gate 3 players agreed that Druids are great at “battlefield control and setting up situations for the heavy damage dealers,” but most also thought that there’s a narrative reason why they’re always overlooked.

“The reason Druid is used so little is essentially the same reason Clerics aren’t. You get them anyway. In the case of Clerics you get one pretty much immediately, and she’s good. Druids you get later, but you also get TWO!!! Why would you make your main character a druid when you can already get two of them later?,” explained user ‘Mountain-Cycle5656.’

Despite Baldur’s Gate 3 introducing both Halsin and Jaheira as the party’s Druids, fans are adamant that not only this class is extremely powerful, but the Spore Druid sub-class is the best summoning class in the game.

“I made my Tav a druid and it’s so good, if I need a physical attacker I go into Owlbear mode and completely maul some dudes, if I want to protect the rest of the team well there’s a huge wall of fire now. Also can heal a bit if needed so it’s self-reliant, not to mention that if you are about to die you can just go back to full HP as an owlbear, which is so OP. I am not regretting my choice,” stated user ‘pulse2037.’

And that’s everything about which is the class Baldur’s Gate 3 recommends choosing for traveling through Faerun. If you want to know more about Larian Studios’ RPG, you can check which is fans’ least favorite battle, and what is the dialogue option players love in the game.
