While Baldur’s Gate 3 latest patch added tons of new content, fans are excited by a small fix that can greatly improve their playthroughs. Here’s what the Baldur’s Gate 3 community has been talking about.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 6 has players over the moon with the new kissing animations and other options for interacting with companions. And besides the Shield bash fix and the new party swapping option, there’s a small fix that fans recognize as a game changer.

Accidentally breaking Concentration while casting spells has been a long-standing problem of Baldur’s Gate 3 fans. More often than not, users have admitted forgetting they were casting these types of abilities and losing a spell lot after using another skill.

In a Reddit post called “The actual best patch change in the game”, fans gathered to thank Larian Studios for addressing this small but significant Tooltip issue. After Patch 6, the game can display a noticeable warning for spells that break concentration, which users considered a “lifesaving” fix.

“God, the amount of times I’ve cast Hunger of Hadar and then immediately f*cking ended it by casting Hex, thank christ for this,” described user ‘Cheesus333.’

Some Baldur’s Gate 3 fans said that they’ve tried a few methods to remind themselves of these mechanics, such as putting every concentration spell into a custom group of icons on the bar. However, most of them described that unless their main character focused on these types of skills, they couldn’t keep track of their Concentration spells.

“My favorite one is when I used Shadowheart to cast Darkness in order to pick a trapdoor in front of someone, then had her cast Guidance for the lockpicking roll, “described user ‘qvantamon’ and a lot of players agreed that even if it’s one of the most popular spells, they’ve always forgotten that Guidance is a Concentration spell.

And that’s why Baldur’s Gate 3 players think that Larian Studios has simply forgotten about Wyll as a companion.
