Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 is one of the biggest updates so far to arrive in Faerun, and its early patch notes have impressed players. Besides bug fixes, new endings, and major tweaks in the companion’s reactivity, Patch 7 will also introduce the long-awaited official Mod Toolkit.

Larian Studios are looking for players to test all these new features, so if you’re interested in participating in BG3 Patch 7’s closed beta, here’s how to sign up and details about the delay.

Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Closed Beta start date

The Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Beta test was initially meant to go live on July 22, 2024, but the release has been delayed due to a bug stopping passive rolls from working altogether.

Larian have not given a new date for the Beta test yet, but they said it’s been pushed back to sometime in the same week. We’ll keep you updated with any more information when it’s available.

This gives you some extra time to sign up before it drops. You can check out the registration process below.

How to register for Baldur’s Gate 3 Patch 7 Closed Beta

  1. Sign in to Steam.
