Even if Larian Studios intended that players recruit Minthara for a Durge playthrough, fans believe that her hilarious interactions make her a “Dark Mary Poppins” that should be considered more as a permanent companion. Here’s what Baldur’s Gate 3 community has been talking about.

Baldur’s Gate 3 has plenty of interesting choices for companions, especially for those players who like to try their luck at recruiting even the most difficult characters, like Minthara. In order to get her to follow them to the camp, players have to raid and slay every refugee in the Druid Grove, which turns is the beginning of the evil playthrough.

While some players discovered a bug to recruit Minthara without killing dozens of innocents, others say that the effort of recruiting her is definitely worth it. “Various members responding with sarcasm to her unhinged rants is comedy gold,” said Reddit user ‘AllYallThrowaways.’

Most fans agreed that her comments to other companion storylines are hysterical and that they love the idea of recruiting her just to see what else she has to say about each quest. “She is hilarious and hard to take seriously romantically because she sounds like evil Mary Poppins,” joked user ‘AmamiyaReprise.’

Fans agree that Minthara’s comments while wandering around Faerun are “hilarious”.

“Minthara has some oddly wholesome interactions in between her unhinged ones which is definitely charming imo. But yeah Minthara is slept on, and I hope more people perma party her,” commented the OP, and pointed out that some people don’t get the chance to see the depth of the character because of her polarizing introduction in Baldur’s Gate 3 storyline.

“I’d absolutely love to recruit her if I didn’t have to slaughter a bunch of NPCs I really like or avoid a huge section of the game by ‘skipping’ the Grove resolution. I’m planning to be an ‘at least mildly bad’ Drow rogue on my next play, so going to try to recruit her,” said Reddit user ‘SereneAdler33,’ who added that would like an option to get her as a companion without losing Halsin.

The OP commented that a patch note leaked last week allegedly suggested that Larian Studios is working on giving players more options to recruit her, but there’s still no official confirmation of this happening.

And that’s what Baldur’s Gate 3 fans have been talking about. If you want to know more about Larian Studios’ latest release, you can check how many users are still playing Baldur’s Gate 3, or which is the secret boss a player found after 500 hours of gameplay.
