Apex Legends dataminers have discovered details in the game’s files that suggest a Call of Duty-inspired Gun Game LTM could be on its way for Season 14.

Apex Legends Season 14 has had a lot to offer since its release, but as time goes on, the community is looking forward to new content such as Twitch Prime skins, events, and even Season 15’s Legend.

Dataminers are constantly on the lookout for new details in the game files that suggest and hint at upcoming content. While the devs confirmed that Control would be returning, no information has been provided regarding new LTMs.

Limited-time modes are a great way to spice things up and keep the player base engaged, especially when players have reached their limit with pubs and the Ranked Leagues.

Now, dataminer HYPERMYST has revealed in-game code that suggests we could be seeing a Call of Duty-inspired Gun Game LTM for Season 14, which players have previously called for.

Call of Duty’s Gun Game is a mode in which players race against each other in a free-for-all to see who can reach the score limit. The twist is that every time you manage to kill an opponent, your weapon will change. The player who is able to kill the rest with every weapon first is crowned the winner, and we could see this mode in Modern Warfare 2.

It’s this format that leaker HYPERMYST is claiming the new Apex Legends Season 14 LTM will follow, finding “sound files” and lobby banners for the mode.

The sound files are of the Apex Games announcer, saying things like “attention, a team has half the points needed to win.” The sound files don’t give much away about the nature of the LTM, as it could just be a Team Deathmatch, especially as the announcer mentions “team” in the LTM, as Gun Game is typically a free-for-all mode.

HYPERMYST claims that the new “Gun Game” LTM will arrive with the Apex Legends Season 14 Collection Event, which the leaker suggests will be from September 20 to 27.

We’ll have to wait and see if this Gun Game LTM will be similar to Call of Duty’s, or completely different. In the meantime, check out some of the other Multiplayer modes coming to Modern Warfare 2.
