Treyarch respond to black ops cold war issues

Black Ops Cold War players have been experiencing a variety of issues such as game crashes, and Treyarch have reassured the community that they’re investigating these problems.

As players eagerly await the release of the highly-anticipated Modern Warfare 2 on October 28, many of them have hopped into previous games like Modern Warfare and Black Ops Cold War to pass the time.

However, many Cold War players have been experiencing major issues that are preventing them from enjoying the game, and this has caught the attention of the developers who have promised a fix.

On September 26, Treyarch released a new update patch for Black Ops Cold War, and this was followed by numerous reports from the community of game crashes and black screens.

Treyarch immediately responded to both of these issues on Twitter by reassuring players that they are “aware of and investigating” them. They then followed it up by announcing that they’ll update the game’s Trello card with more information.

These issues are only affecting PC players on Battle.net, as whenever the game crashes or a black screen pops up, players are prompted to Scan and Repair. However, this doesn’t fix the issue.

How to fix Black Ops Cold War scan & repair glitch

In a Reddit thread about Black Ops Cold War’s scan and repair issue, one user wrote: “I just uninstalled the game and installed it again. It works fine now if anyone is struggling still.” While this isn’t the most ideal solution, it’s one that multiple players in the thread claimed was successful.

If you don’t want to go through the hassle of uninstalling and reinstalling your game, then you’ll just have to wait for the developers to come up with a fix for the issue. They’ll update players on their progress on both Twitter and on the Trello card.
