A Starfield player has shared an absurdly overpowered weapon and perk combination that can permanently stun lock enemies while dealing tremendous damage, leaving the entire community stunned.

Starfield has a lot of combat, and violence is almost unavoidable, despite the ability to talk your way out of some situations. This is why you must always keep your characters prepared to engage powerful enemies.

While you can level up certain skills to stay at the top of your game, there are times when you need powerful weapons and armor. A Redditor named ‘SaltyMeatBoy’ shared “the most disgusting weapon/perk combo” to the Starfield subreddit.

They posted a video of the weapon-perk combo in action and went into great detail about how it works. The weapon they used is an Advanced Va’ruun Inflictor, “which by sheer damage alone is undoubtedly the best weapon” in Starfield.

The OP then added that “this weapon is much more broken than most people even realize.” Here’s a full breakdown of what they explained and how Starfield players reacted to it.

Starfield player explains how to make “the most disgusting” weapon-perk combo

The video shared by ‘SaltyMeatBoy’ shows their Advanced Va’ruun Inflictor easily wiping out a group of Level 94 Terrormorphs in Starfield. They claimed to achieve this “via a specific combination of perks and attachments.”

The Va’ruun Inflictor is an end-game Particle Beam weapon in Starfield. Particle Beam weapons benefit from both the Particle Beams and Lasers perks, as well as Rifle Certification. An Advanced Va’ruun Inflictor with these three perks leveled to the third tier can deal over 1400 base damage.

The true power of this weapon combo, however, lies in how it works with the Marksmanship and Sniper Certification perks. You can achieve a critical hit almost every five shots by simply equipping a short scope, even when firing from the hip. When aiming for headshots, the likelihood skyrockets.

The Spread Nozzle attachment, which splits the main beam into three separate beams without affecting range or accuracy, is another critical aspect. Every single one of these beams has a chance to score a critical hit. This means that when aiming down sights, you can stun lock targets with almost every trigger pull.

Starfield fans love the weapon exploit

According to the OP, the Va’ruun Inflictor in Starfield can be summed up as “a short-medium-long-range sniper/shotgun all-in-one that can permanently stun lock enemies forever and benefits from nearly every perk-based damage bonus in the game.”

While most Starfield players appreciated the information, most were worried that Bethesda will patch this out. They complained that Starfield has already fixed the puddle loot glitch that allowed them to make a ridiculous amount of money.

One user admitted that Serpentis is their first stop in Starfield’s NG+, “to board Va’ruun ships until I loot one of these.” Another user explained that while “there are other weapons that can do better in a given situation,” the Va’ruun Inflictor in Starfield “does not have a down side.”
