The Indigo Disk DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet introduced players to the Synchro Machine, a device that lets you control your party Pokemon in the open world.

There’s a lot of content to tackle in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, as The Indigo Disk brought many new features to the game. Not only are new Pokemon available to catch, but also new evolution possibilities and more Legendary Pokemon are available in the Terarium.

A feature that was highly anticipated in The Indigo Disk DLC launch trailer was the Synchro Machine, a device that lets you control your party Pokemon. You will be able to explore the world in the eyes of your creatures and explore new areas with them.

If you want to know how to unlock and use the Synchro Machine in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC, we’ve got you covered.

How to unlock Synchro Machine in Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Indigo Disk

Players will need to follow the main story of the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC to unlock the Synchro Machine. Once you finish your first assignment in the Blueberry Academy and catch the required Alolan Pokemon, you can travel to the Central Plaza located in the middle part of the Terarium.

Once in the Central Plaza, watch all the cutscenes and follow up with the story, and eventually, you will be able to explore this area freely. At the top of the Central Plaza, you will stumble upon a woman named Synclaire next to the Healing machine, and she will give you access to the Synchro Machine.

After a brief sync and battle tutorial, you will obtain the device to use anywhere you want in the Terarium.

To use the Synchro Machine in the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet DLC you need to hold up the L button to send your Pokemon into the wild and tap the R button to sync with it. Unlocking the device will let you use it anywhere in the Terarium, but remember it can’t be used in Paldea or Kitakami.

If you do the inputs correctly, you will take control of your lead party Pokemon. You can move around with the left stick and attack enemies with the Y button.

You can stop the Synchro Machine by pressing the L and R buttons at the same time while controlling your Pokemon. By doing this, the player will return to their original position before starting the sync.
