Palworld Summer Update: New Pals & weapons, more

Palworld is set to introduce new content to the game through the upcoming Summer Update. So, here’s everything we know about it so far.

Excluding the Bellanoir raid, Palworld has yet to receive any new content since its successful early access release. However, the devs are set to rectify this by dropping a comprehensive update in the summer featuring new Pals, weapons, and even a new location.

Does Palworld Summer Update have a release date?

There is no official release date for the Palworld Summer Update but the devs have announced Summer 2024 as the release window. A brief trailer showcasing the update’s contents during the ID@Xbox 2024 show confirmed the Summer Update’s release window.

New Pals in Palworld Summer Update

The trailer for the Palworld Summer Update gave us a look at four new Pals coming in the future. Their abilities and names are yet to be revealed, but here’s what we gathered:

• A frog wearing a karate uniform that can cast spells using a wooden stick.
• An ostrich-like Pal who appears to have Ground element attacks.
• A strange dog-like Pal who is skilled in some form of martial art.
• A green-colored dinosaur with a mushroom for a hat.

New weapons in Palworld Summer Update

The Palworld Summer Update trailer provided a look at two new weapons coming to Palworld. The first appeared to be a standard Flamethrower which had the mushroom-headed dinosaurs running for their lives. The other weapon looked like some sort of futuristic Laser Rifle that can fire beams at enemies.

Palworld Summer Update: New location

The Palworld Summer Update will introduce a new location that takes inspiration from Japan and features a cherry blossom forest, torii gates, and more. The location is also dotted with stone paths leading up to large shrines but that’s not all, as there was another distinct environment on display.

This location looked more like a swamp with large mushrooms growing out of the ground and spreading all over. Going by the trailer, this environment is inhibited by the aforementioned green dinosaur Pals.
