NBA 2K24 players “loving” MyPLAYER improvements

The new NBA 2K game is already here, and on the first day of release, it seems like the MyCAREER mode takes all the applause from the NBA 2K24 community thanks to many improvements to MyPLAYER. Check out what the community is saying.

NBA 2K24‘s MyCAREER mode, along with MyTEAM, are the most popular game modes in the NBA 2K franchise. In this new installment, MyCAREER mode is loaded with new features and many changes, such as the GOAT path or the revamped shooting system, that have quickly been well-received by the community.

Reddit user TheMikeSweeney306 was one of the first to speak out and, as he mentioned in their “MyPlayer is so much better” post, he is “loving the game so far” thanks to all the new improvements that the developers have implemented in MyCAREER mode.

Among these, the user highlights the new “GOAT list and the pantheon tiers,” as well as the way in-game podcasts and broadcasters comment on your achievements and more. Lastly, TheMikeSweeney306 highlights the developers’ efforts in listening to advice from prominent content creators as well as feedback from the community.

At the beginning of the post, TheMikeSweeney306 mentioned that in the new NBA 2K24 MyCAREER mode, you jump “right into action” with hardly any cinematic sequences hindering your debut in the NBA, unlike what has happened in previous editions of the franchise.

In response to this, another user commented on the post, mentioning that they are also glad that “there are no 45 minutes of cut scenes before and between each game” but are surprised by “how little I miss the High School / College / Draft / Summer League portion.”

Lastly, TheMikeSweeney306 thanked the dev team for their work in structuring The City as the most important buildings and courts are just a minute away from everything and not overly large as it was in previous editions of the NBA 2K franchise.
