Although the upcoming Soap Operator skin for Modern Warfare and Warzone was first spotted in December 2020, it still hasn’t made its way to the store. However, the legendary Task Force 141 Captain has now been spotted in-game.

Modern Warfare (2019) rebooted the franchise, giving classic characters fresh designs. We’ve seen Captain Price, Ghost, and Gaz enter the fold, but one fan-favorite name has been missing: Captain John ‘Soap’ MacTavish. Although teased at the end of MW’s campaign, the Operator is yet to make his way to multiplayer and Warzone.

Reddit user HuskyAshCat12 noticed a player wearing the highly sought-after skin when loading into a match of Modern Warfare’s new Al-Raab Airbase map. Players in the comments believe that this is due to hackers digging through the game files and either selling or equipping the skin for themselves.

Soap is set to arrive with the unreleased CX-9 SMG, but if you like his redesign, we recommend you don’t get your hopes up that he’ll arrive soon, as there’s nothing else to indicate his arrival.
