PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare available only on Blizzard Battle.net

Activision has announced that the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be exclusively available on Blizzard Battle.net, similar to Call of Duty: Black Ops 4.

Activision Blizzard is one parent company, and as such, releasing their PC titles on their whole owned platform means that they earn the entire revenue share from the PC game, versus only 70% over the revenue if they released on Steam.

The title features a fully-optimized PC version, developed in partnership with Beenox, which will be available exclusively on Blizzard Battle.net, Blizzard Entertainment’s online gaming platform.

Blizzard Battle.net was promoting the Call of Duty: Modern Warfare reveal since the teaser dropped, signaling early on that the PC version would be exclusive to Blizzard’s platform again.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 was the first PC Call of Duty game to release on Blizzard Battle.net, and now Call of Duty: Modern Warfare joins alongside it.

Players on PC can pre-order the game now on Blizzard Battle.net. The PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare is developed by Beenox alongside Infinity Ward.
