The Climbing Gear armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom will help you explore ancient Zonai Ruins and many mountains and cliffs throughout Hyrule, so here’s where you can find it in TOTK.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom brought back many armors and other items introduced in Breath of the Wild while also debuting new ones for fans to enjoy. Players can get different armor sets to suit different playstyles and situations, and the Climbing Gear armor is definitely among the most sought-after in Tears of the Kingdom.

New game mechanics and features make upward exploration a lot easier, but there are some areas where the Ascend ability or the Ultrahand ability won’t be able to help. That’s where the Climbing Gear comes in handy by enhancing Link’s climbing speed.

If you’re wondering where to get Climbing Gear armor in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, we’ve got you covered.

Ascend will help you reach high altitudes, but won’t always help you get to tough spots.

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Climbing Gear location

The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom players will find the Climbing Gear in the North Hyrule Plain Cave, northeast of the New Serenne Stable.

Once inside the cave, you’ll face two Like Likes at the entrance. You can incapacitate them by hitting them with an arrow inside their mouths, and then defeat them with any weapon you’re carrying. After that, use Ascend on the rock that sticks out from the waterfall and defeat the enemy above you.

Following the stream, you’ll see a waterfall with glowing Brightbloom Seeds around. Dive into the water and swim through the waterfall to open the chest with the Climbing Gear top. Don’t miss the Bubbul Frog at the end of the cave to get a Bubbul Gem for your efforts.

Now you’re ready to climb mountains and ruins without having to worry too much about your stamina. For more The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom content, check out these other guides:
