Honkai Star Rail is not just full of different characters but has plenty of enemies and loot. To get your hands on the rare loot material, you need to increase the Equilibrium level so here’s how you can do it in-game.

Honkai Star Rail does not feature traditional difficulty settings meaning you will not be able to switch to more difficult challenges in-game. Although that might feel like a drag, the game has something called an Equilibrium system which will allow you to increase the difficulty of enemies.

Increasing the Equilibrium level should be ideal for those who want to play a more challenging game. Furthermore, preparing your characters in challenging situations early on will help you in your late-game grind.

Here’s how you can increase the Equilibrium Level in Honkai Star Rail.

What is the Equilibrium Level in Honkai Star Rail

In Honkai Star Rail, increasing the Equilibrium level increases the difficulty of the enemies you face, but also increases your chances of earning more valuable loot. Calyxes become more challenging, but the reward for clearing them is far greater.

On the surface, it does sound difficult but in addition to the rewards, you also get the ability to enhance your characters’ levels and weapons through Ascension. Also, increasing the Equilibrium level is important for trailblazers if you want to enhance your character’s DPS.

How to increase Equilibrium Level in Honkai Star Rail

In Honkai Rail, players need to beat the main story quest, To Rot or to Burn that is available to those who have reached the Trailblaze level 18 or above. Upon doing this, you can increase the Equilibrium Level by completing the Trial of the Equilibrium: Part One side quest that becomes automatically available.

You need to reach Trailblaze level 20 to start the Ascension and once that’s done, head to the Robot Settlement to join the Trial of the Equilibrium Warring Expedition

To further enhance your world’s Equilibrium level, you will need to complete Trial of the Equilibrium: Part Two side quest that becomes automatically available to those who are at Trailblaze level 30.

How to beat Trial of the Equilibrium: Part One in Honkai Star Rail

Trial of the Equilibrium: Part One in Honkai Star Rail has two rooms each connected with a straight corridor. Each of these rooms houses one of the elite enemies mentioned above.

Once you enter the dungeon, you will spot a room on your left side, and this room will have a Level 29 Ice Out of Space enemy who is weak to Fire and Quantum. During combat, this enemy comes with two Everwinter Shadewalkers and they have the same weakness as this elite enemy.

When you enter the right room, you will find a Level 29 Searing Prowler and even he comes with two Incineration Shadewalkers and all of them are susceptible to Ice and Imaginary.

To defeat them fast, we recommend that you attack and bring down the companions that come with these two elite enemies first. Ideally, you should bring at least one character that belongs to either Fire or Quantum and another from Ice and Imaginary. This will give you an advantage as you know their weaknesses.

After beating both enemies, your Equilibrium level will increase and you can further enjoy the rewards.

Well, that’s all you need to know to raise the Equilibrium level in Honkai Star Rail.
