Helldivers 2 features weapons and Armor that can help greatly when taking on the combatants of the Automatons and Terminids. With that said, here is the best Armor you can use in Helldivers 2.

There are many different Armor sets for players to use in Helldivers 2, all of which offer unique passive abilities that can increase your survivability.

Depending on your playstyle and what your squad needs, you may want to opt for a different Armor to help boost your stats or gain a passive ability that can aid you in your mission against either the Terminids or Automatons.

So, with that said, here is the best Armor to run in Helldivers 2, including the best options for early and mid-game.

Best Armor in Helldivers 2: DP-40 Hero of the Federation

The best Armor in Helldivers 2 is the DP-40 Hero of the Federation Body Armor, as it provides players with the Democracy Protects Armor Passive:

  • 50% chance to not die when taking lethal damage.
  • Prevents all damage from bleeding if chest hemorrhages.

This passive is incredibly useful across all missions in Helldivers 2, as preventing a death against lethal damage means you save a Reinforce, while no damage from bleeding is another great perk.

You may not have this Armor unlocked yet, as it is on Page 5 of the Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond and requires quite a few Medals to unlock. So, here are some other great options for early game, mid-game, and the different factions you’ll be fighting against.

There are many Armors to choose from in Helldivers 2.

Best Armor for early game: B-01 Tactical

The B-01 Tactical Armor in Helldivers 2 is starting body Armor in the game, but don’t let that fool you, as it’s easily the best option for levels one to around five. The Extra Padding Armor Passive provides a higher Armor rating, allowing you to take less damage and therefore survive for longer.

Best Armor for mid-game: CM-09 Bonesnapper

Once you reach Page 4 of the Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond you can unlock the CM-09 Bonesnapper Armor.

You’ll be around level seven once you unlock this page, and it’s a great mid-game option as it provides the Med-kit Armor Passive, which increases your initial inventory and holding capacity of stims by +2 and also increases the stim effect duration by 2.0s. The free Twitch Drop TR-117 Alpha Commander Armor also has this passive.

Best Armor for Terminids: CE-35 Trench Engineer

Next up, we have the CE-35 Trench Engineer Armor, which is the best for fighting against Terminids in Helldivers 2, as its passive, Engineering Kit, provides extra grenades that are great for taking out bug nests.

The great thing about this Armor is that it is easily unlocked early on, as it can be found for 10 Medals on Page 3 of the Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond.

Helldivers 2 Automaton
Having the best Armor in Helldivers 2 is a great help.

Best Armor for Automatons: FS-23 Battle Master

Lastly, we have the FS-23 Battle Master Armor, which may take a while to unlock, as it’s on Page 6 of the Helldivers Mobilise! Warbond, but its Armor Passive – Fortified, is great against Automatons.

The passive doesn’t just provide recoil control while crouched and prone, but it also provides 50% resistance to explosive damage, which the Automatons love to throw out.
