Cyberpunk 2077 has multiple endings and starting a new campaign is quite common among players. Modes like New Game Plus allow players to start over without losing their valuable progress, and here’s everything to know about the availability of New Game Plus in Cyberpunk 2077.

Cyberpunk 2077 gives players a ton of content worth checking out including the main campaign and gigs handed out by the likes of Rogue, Alt Cunningham, and others. The game also has multiple endings depending on the choices you can make throughout the campaign and with the release of Phantom Liberty DLC, the developers have recommended players to start a new campaign.

From Elden Ring to The Legend of Zelda to Starfield, a lot of RPGs nowadays release with a New Game Plus mode that allows you to start a new journey with all the skills you’ve unlocked in your previous playthrough.

Here’s everything to know about the availability of New Game Plus in Cyberpunk 2077 following the release of Phantom Liberty.

Is there New Game Plus in Cyberpunk 2077?

No, there is currently no New Game Plus mode in Cyberpunk 2077. This means that players who decide to start the campaign all over from the beginning will not be able to keep the upgrades that they received during their first playthrough.

In September of 2022, the lead level designer, Miles Tost, confirmed on Twitter that a New Game Plus mode for Cyberpunk 2077 was something the developers considered. However, the feature ended up being “incredibly complex” and they were unable to include it.

Cyberpunk 2077 Pseudo New Game Plus mod

While this will be disappointing news to players who were hoping to explore the campaign of Cyberpunk 2077 with all of their upgrades and progress from the first playthrough, there is a mod that can be used to achieve this.

Visiting the Cyberpunk 2077 Nexus will allow you to use the Pseudo New Game Plus mod. This is similar to a regular New Game Plus mode, and the creator of the mod stated that players will be “OP” when using it.

Of course, this isn’t the same as having a full New Game Plus mode in Cyberpunk 2077, and we’ll be sure to update this piece if the developers end up releasing one in a future update.
