Genshin Impact Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens event tasks & rewards
HoYoverseGenshin Impact invites players to experiment with its new photo mode during the Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens: Dew-Kissed event. While taking pictures is a straightforward process, each stage requires you to travel to different locations and complete its objectives.

The Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens: Dew-Kissed Chapter event started on July 29, 2024, and ends on August 4, 2024.
How to unlock Outside the Canvas, Inside the Lens event in Genshin Impact
- Reach Adventure Rank 18.
- Complete Archon Quest Prologue Act 3 Song of the Dragon and Freedom.
- Go to Romaritime Harbor and find Asagiri.
After completing those requirements, go to Romaritime Harbor and look for Asagiri, an NPC you’ll find painting beside the sea. She’ll ask you to collect some reference materials for her, taking pictures of locations around Teyvat.

- Go to the location.
- Equip Asagiri’s Dedicated Fontaine Kamera.
- Interact with the photo-taking spot and enter the Photo-Taking Mode.
- Configure settings and the Interval Timer mode.
- Take pictures that include everything described in the challenge.
This Genshin Impact event has 14 different stages that will be unlocked daily. To participate in it, you’ll need to go to the indicated location, equip Asagiri’s Dedicated Fontaine Kamera, and interact with the photo-taking spot to enter the Photo-Taking Mode.
After entering that mode, configure the photo’s settings in the Adjustment phase. There you can change characters, and angle your camera to include elements asked in the challenge. Then you’ll enter the photo-taking phase, where you can use different skills to complete the stage’s objective using the Interval Timer Photography mode.

After completing each of the 14 different stages, you’ll get a reward consisting of Level Up Materials and more. You can use these to unlock Navia or Nilou during 4.8 phase 1 or save them for all the upcoming characters of the 5.0 version.
