No Rest for the Wicked Early Access is here and for those concerned about performance, here are the minimum and recommended PC specs to run the game and whether it is Steam Deck compatible.

Developers of Ori and the Blind Forest and Ori and the Will of the Wisps are back with No Rest for the Wicked and the action RPG has entered Early Access on Steam. New features will be tested and added to the title during this period, and before the full launch, you can get it at discounted prices.

Moon Studios’ action RPG has gained praise for its visuals, and if you want to get the best of them, check out the minimum and recommended PC requirements for No Rest of the Wicked and if it runs on the Steam Deck.

No Rest for the Wicked PC requirements

Here are the minimum and recommended specs for No Rest for the Wicked from its official Steam Page as well as the average performance you can expect with them:

Minimum PC specs

With these minimum specs, No Rest for the Wicked should run in 1080p at 30 FPS:

  • Graphics Setting – Performance
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 970 / AMD Raedon RX VEGA 56
  • CPU – Intel Core i5-8400 / AMD Ryzen 5 2600
  • RAM – 16 GB

With these recommended specs, No Rest for the Wicked should run in 1080p at 60 FPS:

  • Graphics Setting – Quality
  • GPU – Nvidia GeForce GTX 3070Ti / AMD Raedon RX 6800 XT
  • CPU – Intel Core i5-12600K / AMD Ryzen 7 5800
  • RAM – 16 GB

While the minimum specs look just fine, the recommended specs having high-end graphics cards like the GeForce GTX 3070Ti and the RX 6800 XT overwhelmed many in the community. However, Moon Studios Production Director Gennadiy Korol has reassured that in their official tests, the game was running at over 60 FPS even with a GeForce 2060 graphics card with some frame drops here and there.

All you need to do is tweak a few quality settings, and the developers will be adjusting the recommended specs even more in the meantime.

Korol further stated in a reply that as of Early Access, you shouldn’t expect over 100 FPS and even with a Nvidia GeForce 40 series graphics card, the FPS range will be 60-100. This is because the game is more CPU-intensive at this time, you might get slightly better performance based on your PC’s CPU.

No Rest for the Wicked file size

No Rest for the Wicked file size is around 35 GB during Early Access, and you’ll need this much storage on an SSD to run the game smoothly. Of course, this number can increase as more content is added, and we’ll be sure to update this page with the latest information.

Is No Rest for the Wicked Steam Deck compatible?

Yes, you can play No Rest for the Wicked on the Steam Deck which was confirmed by Genndaiy Korol ahead of Early Access launch. Not just the Steam Deck, the title will also run on other handheld devices like the ROG Ally.

On the Steam Deck, No Rest for the Wicked should run on an average 30-40 FPS with a few drops to 20-25 during cinematics. The combat should feel responsive in this setting according to the developers, and locked 40 FPS might be available in the near future.

Korol suggests locking the screen rate of your Steam Deck screen according to your in-game FPS preference to get the best performance on the handheld. It is important to note that official Steam Deck verification from Valve is expected shortly, but you should get decent performance until then.
