Money is everything in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, and players will need to farm large amounts of cash on Dondoko Island to keep the party equipped and ready. So, here’s how you can farm unlimited money using the newly added mini-game.

The Yakuza series changed its playstyle to a turn-based RPG in Yakuza: Like a Dragon, but its combat mechanics aren’t the only thing new. Having the party equipped with the best armor, weapons, and accessories can require huge amounts of money.

The city of Yokohama had a lot of side content for players to complete and earn money, but what about Hawaii, the new setting for Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth?

If you are struggling to get money in Ichiban’s new adventure, worry not, and advance the main story until you unlock Dondoko Island. Here’s the best method to farm money early using the new mini-game in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

Dondoko Island money farming method in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth explained

To farm money fast in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth, players will first need to advance to Chapter 6 in the game’s main story. By doing this, you will be able to unlock the Dondoko Island mini-game and farm Dokobucks, the side story’s currency, and quickly change it to USD to use in Hawaii.

There are three known methods that players can tackle to farm money fast in Infinite Wealth’s Dondoko Island, so let’s get to them:

Timed Activities

In this Animal Crossing-styled content, Ichiban will be able to assign the captured Sujimon to different timed activities to be completed. To farm money using these activities, players need to follow these steps:

  1. Find the timed activities that Sujimon can be assigned to, like the Dondoko Farm.
  2. Assign Sujimon of the same type to get better rewards in the Mastercrafting activity.
  3. This project will take 60 minutes in real-time, so keep playing, tackling side missions or simply wait to earn 300,000 Dokobucks.
  4. Exchange these 300k Dokobucks for USD when you leave Dondoko Island.

Even with 300k USD not being a lot for Infinite Wealth’s most advanced players, it surely helps when you get to Hawaii and need to start buying better gear. Note that this can only be done once you reach Resort Level 2 in Dondoko Island, so be sure to start the mini-game side story as soon as you unlock it.

Golden Shark fishing

Once you level your Resort up to Level 3, you can build a bridge to Lake Island for 200.000 Dokobucks. This part of Dondoko Island is where Ichiban can tackle fishing activities to keep building up his Island paradise.

With a 50% chance once a day, Ichiban can use his harpoons to fish a Golden Shark worth 70,000 Dokobucks. If you catch a total of five, you can raise its selling price up to 100k, and 130k if you keep catching them.

The best way to identify the Golden Shark among all the fish shadows on Lake Island is by checking its size and swim speed. The Golden Shark will be the bigger and faster figure in the lake, so be sure to launch Harpoon attacks on it as soon as you spot it.

Level up Building skill and sell Love Hotels

In Dondoko Island, Ichiban can work on its Building level to unlock new DIY Blueprints, and these include Love Hotels. This last structure is one of the easiest to craft if your Resolt level is high enough, as most resources can be gathered from dumps every day.

Love Hotels can be crafted once a day, and net over 300k Dokobucks per sale. If you stack up to three, you can get almost one million Dokobucks that can be translated into 10,000 USD to bring back to Hawaii. You can go to bed early to farm money faster, and if your Resort is leveled enough, S-rank guests will net almost the same amount on every day reset.

This method can’t be tackled at first, but leveling up your Resort in Dondoko Island is a must if you want to have Ichiban and his party up to date with the latest equipment.

We’ll be sure to update this guide as soon as we find out more methods to farm money in the late hours of Ichiban’s new Hawaiian adventures.
