Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown has finally been released and is available for all consoles as well as the Nintendo Switch, but what about the Steam Deck? Here’s everything you need to know about the game’s availability on Valve’s handheld.

Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown is now out, ending Ubisoft’s long-dormant streak of Prince of Persia games. It is a 2.5D Metroidvania title, which is a perfect genre for handhelds. Its system requirements aren’t too demanding either, and as the Switch supports 60 FPS, it should run fairly smoothly on Steam Deck

However, the latest Ubisoft games are not available on Steam, and by extension, they aren’t officially supported for the Steam Deck, like Assassin’s Creed Mirage and Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. But has that changed for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown?

Here are all the details on Prince of Persia: The Crown on Steam Deck.

Is Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown available on Steam Deck?

No, Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown isn’t available on the Steam Deck, as it isn’t available on Steam.

That doesn’t, however, mean you can’t play the game on the Steam Deck. You have to first install Ubisoft Connect on your Deck, which is tiring but fairly straightforward. Once installed, you can play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown on the Steam Deck.

The Lost Crown isn’t officially available on Valve’s storefront, so there will be no Deck Verified badge, which means performance may not be very stable. Though it shouldn’t be much of a problem as the Steam Deck is powerful enough to meet the system requirements for the game, there still might be a few technical issues as it is not officially supported.

Ubisoft hasn’t made any announcements about the game coming to Steam Deck or Steam but we’ll update if an announcement arrives.
